Liliana Cantu

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your role at Brazos Commercial Roofing?

My name is Liliana Cantu, and I’m the Executive Assistant at Brazos Commercial Roofing. My responsibilities include supporting HR functions, coordinating bid submissions, managing vendor packets, and keeping personnel files up to date. I also provide assistance across departments as needed. In addition, I’m a certified tax advisor and a notary, which allows me to offer extra support throughout the company.

How long have you been with the company, and what first attracted you to this job?

I’ve been with Brazos Commercial Roofing since September 14, 2022—going on three years now. I was initially drawn to the role because it offered the chance to grow professionally while gaining hands-on experience in multiple areas of business. It was the perfect opportunity to build skills that align with my long-term goal of becoming a corporate lawyer.

What do you enjoy most about working at Brazos Commercial Roofing?

What I enjoy most is the variety in my role and the ability to contribute to different aspects of the business. I appreciate being trusted with responsibilities that matter and being part of a team that works hard and communicates well.

What’s a fun fact about you that your coworkers might not know?

A fun fact about me is that I love creepy stuff—bats, coffins, Halloween vibes, you name it. It’s a part of my personality that surprises people sometimes, but I think it’s fun to embrace the spooky side! I am also really into anime.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to always advocate for yourself and be open to growth. Don’t be afraid to speak up, take initiative, and push yourself to learn new things—you never know where those steps might lead you.
